I’ve created an imprint for individuals and companies with a story to tell.

So far, I’ve written books for a rocket scientist, a member of Congress, and a 12-year-old girl. Contact me if you want to explore your own book.

Jay and his team turned my story about space as America’s fastest-growing economy into a book that’s sold in bookstores across the country.
— Stephen Sandford, former NASA engineer

I’ve joined forces with editors, designers, publicists, production experts, social marketers, scriptwriters, and an Emmy award-winning film director. Here’s what we can make:

A collaborative, ghostwritten book that can be printed on-demand in both paperbound and e-book form through Amazon’s Kindle Publishing System.

  • A ghostwritten book sold on Amazon as well as other online stores and in brick-and-mortar bookstores across the country.

  • A beautifully designed, lavishly illustrated coffee-table book that celebrates a life, a company, a town, or an institution.

  • Editing, design, and publishing services.

  • A book trailer or short documentary.

  • An audiobook version.

  • A detailed marketing plan that focuses on social media.

  • Sales tracking and royalty arrangements.

Full disclosure: We’re not cheap. This is no vanity press. We’ll give you an honest assessment of the marketability of your book. You own all the rights to your book and keep the net proceeds from sales, while we stay completely transparent with our fees.

The Skinny

I had been doing consulting for NASA when a former engineer for the agency, Steve Sandford, asked him to create a readable book on space as America’s fastest-growing economy, in a hostile terrain not entirely dissimilar from the 19th-century American West. To produce a book in much less time than with a traditional publishing house, I created an imprint, Gavia Books. Partnering with a pair of talented and experienced book publishers in California, we produced THE GRAVITY WELL: America’s Next, Greatest Mission. The book has been used extensively by the space industry and government officials.

Next, Congressman Michael McCaul, founder of the Childhood Cancer Caucus, commissioned me to ghostwrite a book with him and 12-year-old leukemia survivor Sadie Keller. BETTER ANGELS published in May 2020.
